Holiday 2026: 6 books available. Order by November 20.

A personalized picture book for ages 1 to 5

Your child.
The hero of the story.

Their name on every page and their face in every adventure: on the farm, on a midnight ride in a magic car, or in a story written just for them. Created and checked page by page by children's author Bloria Gordon.

Made by a person, not an app

A real book, made for one child

Instant photo apps are fast. This is made with care: a real author and educator writes the story, directs the art, and checks every page before anything is printed.

Written by an author

A story built for reading aloud together, with words chosen for little ears, not filled in by software.

Same face on every page

Your child is recognizably themselves from the cover to the last page. Every illustration is checked by hand.

English, Hebrew, or both

Choose one language or a bilingual edition, so the book speaks the way your family does.

You approve first

You see the whole book before it is printed, and small changes are included.

How it works

From your photo to their bookshelf

Three simple steps. You share a few details, I do the rest.

Tell me about your child

Fill in the short form below. After we confirm your order, you send a clear, recent photo, plus their name and age.

I create the book

I turn your child into the story's hero and place them on every page of the farm adventure. This takes about a week.

You approve, I print and ship

You review a full digital preview. Once you approve, the book is printed in full color and shipped to your door.

Behind every book

Your child, on every page

Before any page is illustrated, I build a character sheet from your photo, so your child looks like themselves from every angle and in every mood.

Michael's character sheet: front, three-quarter, side and back views, with happy, curious, surprised, determined and sad expressions
Michael's character sheet: four angles and five expressions, created before the story pages.
  1. AnglesFront, three-quarter, side and back, so every scene matches.
  2. ExpressionsHappy, curious, surprised, determined and sad, to carry the story's feelings.
  3. DetailsHair, skin tone, favorite clothes, even a beloved teddy or toy.
  4. Checked by handEvery finished page is compared to the sheet before you see it.

Finished books

They already went on the adventure

Here is how the finished books look. Open a preview to page through the story.

Michael and Blue's Midnight Adventure

Michael, age four, loves cars. So his favorite toy car, Blue, comes to life at bedtime and takes him on a midnight ride to help a lost little car find its way home. A rhyming 28-page story about kindness and courage.

Questions

Good to know

How long does it take?

Creating the book takes about a week. Printing and shipping add about one to two weeks. Plan on two to three weeks from photo to doorstep. For delivery before Hanukkah and Christmas 2026, order by November 20.

What kind of photo works best?

A clear, recent photo of your child's face in good light, looking toward the camera, with no hat or sunglasses. A second photo showing their hair and favorite outfit helps. I will ask for photos after your order is confirmed.

Can I ask for changes?

Yes. You see the complete book before printing, and one round of small changes is included, such as a detail in your child's look or a spelling of a name. Changes to the story itself are part of the "written for them" option.

How are the illustrations made?

I combine my own design and art direction with AI illustration tools. I write the story, direct every image, and check each page by hand so your child looks like themselves throughout. You approve the full book before it is printed.

What happens to my child's photos?

Your photos are used only to create your child's book. They are processed in the illustration tools I use for that purpose, never shared or sold, and never used for marketing without your written permission. I delete them within 30 days after your book is delivered. Just ask if you would like them deleted sooner.

Is it a hardcover?

Single books are a full-color softcover. Hardcover is available for group orders of 25 or more.

Do you ship outside the US?

Yes. Books for Israel are printed and shipped locally. For other countries, send a message and I will confirm shipping before you order.
